IN HOW MANY WAYS CAN A NUMBER BE FORMED BETWEEN 100 TO 1000 SUCH THAT EACH DIGIT IS CONSISTING OF 2 OR 9?

Since, each digit need to be consisting of either 2 or 9, so there are 2 possibilites for each of the digits. The number needs to be a 3 digit number (between 100 and 1000). So, there are total of 2*2*2 = 8 numbers which can be formed between 100 and 1000 such that each digit will be consisting of 2 or 9.
