in gravitation the object is attracted towards the earth? and are the objects attracted towards each other also?

yes they do. FOr eg. if an apple is falling towards earth, the earth and aple are pulling each other with the equal force but in opposite direction. Due to the huge mass of earth, the acceleration produced in earth is negligiable as compared to the acceleration in apple.
