In freefall, the object feels weightlessness. How g is zero during freefall? Explain it.

g is not zero during freefall.
 
Rather in free fall, there is a pseudo force that acts on the body, which is equal & opposite to the gravitational force acting downwards. Thus the net resultant force on the body in free fall is zero & hence it weighs zero on spring balance.
