in ethanal given below (i)...carbon atom of CHO group is included in naming 'eth' but in propane-1,2,3-tricarbaldehyde (ii) why isn't carbon atom of any CHO group included...why is it 'propane'...please explain me

The longest continuous carbon chain in propane1,2,3 -tricarbaldehyde is of 3 carbon and all three CHO group act as junior group so we use prefix name of CHO group.
