Expert Answer
There are two types of charges - positive and negative charges
Positive charges are knwon as proton and negative charges are known as electrons.
In electricity, it is scientists conventionally considered that flow of electrons are responsible for the flow of electricity in circuit. Thus, while representating in the circuit we show that electrins flow from negative terminal to positive terminal and current flows in opposite direction to that of electrons i.e. from positive to negative terminal.
So, in case of electricity charges usually refers to electrons.
