Expert Answer
Let the base of an isosceles triangle be x cm.
Hence, equal sides of an isosceles triangle is x + 4.5 each.
The perimeter of triangle is 34.5 cm
x + x + 4.5 + x + 4.5 = 34.5
3x + 9 = 34.5
3x = 25.5
x = 8.5
The base of an isosceles triangle is 8.5 cm and equal sides are 13 cm each.
