Expert Answer:

(1) Order of acidic strength-

CF3COOH > CCl3COOH > CBr3COOH>CI3COOH
Acidic strength depends on ability to easily withdraw H+ ions. The electronegativity of an atom on the alpha carbon adjacent to the carboxylic acid functional group can affect acid strength. The greater the electronegativity, the stronger the acid. In these 4 acids electronegativity of atoms attached to alpha carbons is -
F>Cl>Br>I

(2) Order of acidic nature-
CH3OH>H2O>CH3CH2OH
Due to solvation effect, Methanol is more acidic than water. Ethanol is least acidic because of its +I effect.
