if the sum of 1st n terms of an a.p is an+bn square where a and b are constants, the common difference of ap will be wat?

Expert Answer:

S1 = a + b
S2 = 2a + 4b
S3 = 3a + 9b .........
So 1st term is S1 = a + b
2nd term is S2 - S1 = 2a + 4b - (a + b) = a + 3b
So d = 2b
