If the potential energy of an body is described by a mathematical function, then when does the potential energy will be maximum and minimum.

we know that,
from here also we can find maximum and minimum PE
also if the potential energy is given as a function of time/ position, we can put their values and find the maximum or min.
say U=mw2x
then at x=0 value will be min, x=a extreme displacements value will be max.
