if respiration in animals can be called a life process then why transpiration in plants cannot

Transpiration is a necessary evil in plants since despite its benefits, it also causes problems for the plants. However, the plant is not carrying out any process while transpiring. It simply loses water through stomata by evaporation and this can be compared to the sweating by humans. So it is not a life process.
