If every action has an equal and opposite reaction, then why does motion occurs?

Expert Answer:

Dear student
Action and reaction are equal and opposite. If the action and reaction act on the same body they will cancel each other and cannot cause motion . If the action and reaction are on different bodies then they will not cancal each other and hence cause the motion.
We hope this clarifies your doubt.
