if cos(a+b)=0 and sin(a-b)=square root 3 /2. find the value of a, b, a+b,a-b

Expert Answer:

cos (a + b) = 0 gives a + b = 90 degrees as cos 90 = 0
sin (a - b) = sqrt 3/2 gives a - b = 60 as sin 60 degrees = sqrt 3/2
Add the two equations, to get,
2a = 150
a = 75
So, b = 90 - 75 = 15
