If b<0 then "b+1/b" is greater than or equal to "a" where "a" can be

We expect it "is less than or equal to" since b + 1/b will always to negative, since b<0. Please recheck or clarify.
Answer a = -2
b<0
b + 1/b
for example b = -1
then b + 1/b = -2
but if b = -2 or -3 and so on.
then -2 + 1/-2 = -2.5 < -2
So for b = -2, -3, -4, the expression will always be less than -2. and for b = -1 it'll be equal to -2.
Hence a = -2.
