if an object absorbs light then why it will transmit it in dark and where it gone?

Dear Student
All bodies absorb heat or thermal radiations from the environment & simultaneously emit them.
A body in the state of losing heat or cooling down will emit more than absorb.
A body in the state of gaining heat or heating up will emit less & absorb more.
So while heating up a body, it will keep on absorbing more & more heat radiations.
While the same body is cooled it emits/reradiates the same heat radiations back to the environment.
