Equation of motion relating velocity and time is given as
v = u + ( a × t ) .................. (1)
where v is velocity at time t , u is initial velocity and a is constant acceleration .
Hence relation between momentum p and time t is given as
p = m × v = ( m × u ) + ( m × a × t ) = po + ( F × t ) .................. (2)
where Po = ( m × u ) is initial momentum and F = ( m × a ) is force . Since acceletion is constant force is also constant .
Hence from expression (2) , momentum varies linearly with time as shown in graph
