 If (2,- 5) point is given, find the equation of a line on which it lies. How many such equations are there? Draw  the graph of one such equation.

There are  infinitely many linear equations which are satisfied by the coordinates of the point  (2,- 5).
 
For example, line  passing through the point (2,- 5)  are satisfied by  some of the Linear equations are as follows:
 
 
Let us draw the graph of the  equation .
 
Simplify the equation begin mathsize 12px style 1 minus straight x over straight y equals 7 over 5 end style we get
 
 
Let us find the solutions in ordered pair in the form of table  as follows:
