If 1Joule of work is done in moving an object through a distance of 200cm in the same direction.Calculate the force applied on the object.If the object moves perpendicular to the direction of force applied ,how much work is done for the same force?

W = F x S
or, 1 = F x 2
or, F = 0.5 N
If the object moves perpendicular to the direction of applied force then the work done will be zero.
As, w = FS cosθ and in this case θ = 90o.
