If 1/3 of the liquid contents of a can evaporates on the first day and 3/4 of the remainder evaporates on the second day, what will be the fractional part of the original contents remaining at the close of the second day

First day: 1/3 evaporates and 2/3 remains
Second day: 3/4 of 2/3 evaporates and 
                  1/4 of 2/3 remains
 
So, the remaining amount at the close of second day = 1/4 x 2/3 of original = 1/6 of original
