Expert Answer
For first diagram it must be convex lens because image is real and inverted mirror can not be placed at x because it will form image on same side.
For second diagram it should be concave mirror because image forming on the other side of the x . This can be achieve if we place an object between f and p in concave mirror image will be virtual and erected
