For car A , u = 52km/hr = 14.4m/s
For car B , u = 3km/hr = 0.83m/s
now distance travelled by car A = speed x time taken to stop car A
= 14.4 m/s x 5sec
= 72m.
now distance travelled by car A = speed x time taken to stop car B
= 0.83m/s x 10sec
= 8.3 m.
So car A travelled farther after brakes were applied.
