i have heard that only translational motion has linear velocity analogous to angular velocity for rotational motion.so can a rotational body have a linear motion?

When a body rotates, the position of various points on it changes. So the points have linear velocity as well in addition to angular velocity.
The angular velocity of all the particles is the same irrespective of their distance from the axis of rotation, but the linear velocities are different depending on their distance from the axis.
