i have a doubt that how do plants having leaves other than green perform photosynthesis

Some of the non- green plants carry certain other colored pigments which have the capacity to perform photosynthesis. Apart from these, there are many non green plants which do not photosynthesize. They are dependent on other plants, soil etc for their nutrition and growth. Some plants grow as parasites on other plants and obtain nutrition accordingly.
