Potential difference: Potential difference between two points is defined as the amount of work done in moving a unit positive charge from one point to another.

Hence, W = QV

where,

W - Work done

Q- Charge

V - Potential difference

Potential differenve can also be called voltage.

SI unit of potential difference or voltage is Volt (V).
