Expert Answer:
When acarbon -hydrogen bond is present at the alpha position to an unsaturated system ,the sigma electrons of C-H bond enter into conjugation with the unsatuated system .Tis involves the intraction of sigma electrons with the pi electrons of the double bond of the unsaturated system. The ionic forms formed due to release of electrons get stabilized by resonance. This is hyperconjugation effect.
