Expert Answer
The circumstance that you are expressing is very theoretical and is not practically viable. When you are compressing a substance there is only a limit till which you can compress it.There are many other energies apart from kinetic energy that an atom includes.Nuclear energy is one of them and its of a very high order. If you are compressing a substance it will become extremely difficult nearly impossible to compress it against the nuclear energy. Hence ,it will not collapse. Nevertheless, such kind of research work is being conducted but the understanding of its details is beyond the scope of your academic level.
