Expert Answer
Pure substances have fixed melting and boiling point. Pure water under standard condition of temperature and presssure had boiling point of 100oC and melting point of oC. Take the colorless liquid given and determine its melting and boiling. If given liquid has boiling point and melting as 100oC and 0 oC respectively then the colorless liquid given is pure water. During measurement a variation by 1-2 oC can be expected.
