Expert Answer:

one axiom ::::   If  a transversal   line  intersects  two lines  such that  any pair of  corresponding angles  are equal,  then the two  lines  are parallel,.

Here it  is given that  the two  lines are perpendicular  to the  same line   that means  the corresponding  angles  == 90degrees  .  so the  two perpendicular lines  are parallel to each other.
