how wave is reflected at open end of open pipe

When the waves reach the open end of the pipe, they are reflected. This is because the air outside the pipe is rarer than the air inside it. In other words, there is an “impedance mismatch” at the open end of the pipe. This causes waves to occur inside the pipe.
