Planes and Lines are twin chapters and you need to be thorough with the topics that are common for both these chapters.
 
Sequence of topics you should start with:
1. Direction ratios and direction cosines
2. Equation of a line in space
3. Cartesian equation and vector equation of a line
4. Cartesian and vector equation of planes
5. Distance between line and a plane
6. Distance between a point and a plane
7. Skew lines
8. Shortest distance between two lines
9. Angle between two lines
10. Angle between a line and a plane

The direction ratios of the normal to the plane are same for the line perpendicularto the plane
