Hi Navya, The power of a lens is defined as the reciprocal of its focal length. The power P of a lens of focal length f is given as, P = 1/f The SI unit of power is dioptre (D). Formula to calculate power is same only the sign changes for concave and convex lens. Power of a convex lens is positive and that of a concave lens is negative. According to the given eye defect first decide which lens is used to correct it. Then use the given formula to find power with correct sign. Hope this helps..!!
