how to find sin 35

Expert Answer:

sin (35) = sin (30+5) = sin 30 cos 5 + sin 5 cos 30
sin(30) = 1/2 and cos(30) = sqrt(3)/2 i.e. about 1.7/2
5 degrees is 5*pi/180 radians i.e. about 5/60 = 1/12.
cos 5 will be sqrt(1 - (1/12)^2) which is practically 1,
so
sin (35) = 0.5 + 1.7/24 which is 0.5 + 0.07 i.e. 0.57
