how to find rational no. Between two rational no.?? Is there any easy way to get that concept?

There are two methods of finding Rational Numbers between any two given Rational Numbers.
1. Mean or Average Method:
2. LCM Method:
Exampls:
i. Find a rational numbers between1. 1/2 and 3/2.
ii.Find any five rational numbers between1. 1/4 and 1/6.
i. Here the denominators are same,
if not then first take lcm and make the denominators of both the rational numbers same
We will use Mean method, (1/2 + 3/2) ÷ 2= (4/2) ÷ 2 = 2 ÷ 2 = 1
ii.LCM method:
lcm(4, 6) = 12
1/4 = 3/12= 30/120 .... (Multiplied and divided by 10)
1/6= 2/12 = 20/120
So, the any five rational number between 1/4 and 1/6 are 21/120, 22/120, 23/120, 24/120 and 25/120.
If in the same question it ask to find 15 rational numbers, then
1/4 = 3/12 = 300/1200 .... (Multiplied and divided by 100)
Now , you will be able to write any 15 rational numbers between them.
1/6 = 2/12 = 200/1200
Now , you will be able to write any 15 rational numbers between them.
