how to find density?
Asked by vijith soman | 5th Nov, 2012, 08:28: PM
value of g=9.8m/s2
radius of earth, R=6400 km=64 x 105m
value of gravitational constant, G=6.67 x 10-11 (N x m 2 x kg -2 )
density of earth is 5.54 g/cm3
Homogeneous sphere means sphere of uniform structure. So, the value of 'g' does not change on homogeneous sphere as the distance of each point on surface of sphere is equidistant from center.
