How to find acceleration of an x-t graph?
Asked by manav rajput | 23 Apr, 2011, 12:00: AM
Expert Answer
To find the acceleration using a distance-time graph, following are the steps:
1) Firstly, velocity at various instants has to be found using the x-t graph.
The slope of position-time graph gives the value of velocity at a given instant of time.
2) Then a velocity-time graph has to be plotted using the found values of velocitiy at various instant.
3) The slope of the v-t gives the value of acceleration at that particular instant.
