Steps to solve :
Read the numerical properly. And break down the details as follows:
1. Note down the given information. Check whether the values of the given quantities are in same measuring unit system for e.g. all quantities are either in SI system or GGS system. If not then convert the particular quantity into SI system or CGS system as per the requirement.
2. Check which quantity is to be calculated. Mark that quantity as "To find"
3. Now check which formula is suitable to find out the desired quantity. Check whether only one formula is enough to find the value of the quantity or multiple formulae are required. Write down the formulae required to solve the numerical.
4. Substitute the values properly into the formula.
5. Simplify and obtain the solution.
Numerical on force:
Question: The moment of a force of 5 N about a point is 2 Nm. Calculate the distance of the point from the point of application of force.
Solution:
Given: F = 5 N
τ = 2 Nm
To find: rperpendicular = ?
Formula: τ = rperpendicular × F
rperpendicular =
m

Numerical on current electricity:
Question: Conducting wire of uniform cross-sectional area 2 cm2 and length 0.01 m carries a current of 8 A produced by an electric field of 2 V/cm. Find the resistivity of material of wire.
Solution:
Given:
A = 2 cm2

(as all other quantities are in CGS system, converting length in CGS system. You can convert other quantities to SI unit if it is mentioned
in question that final answer has to be calculated in SI unit system. But ensure that all the quantities are in same measuring unit system)
I = 8 A
Electric field(
)= 2 Volt/cm

Formula:
