how to distinguish between methylamine and aniline as aromatic or aliphatic without performing any chemical tests

Expert Answer:
The lower aliphatic amines like methyl amine are colourless gases with fishy odour and primary amines having three or more carbon atoms are liquids and the higher ones are solids.
Aniline is a colorless liquid when pure but gets coloured as it is easily oxidised by air.
