Expert Answer
Retreating Monsoon: It occurs in the months of October and November during the period which is associated with the withdrawl of monsoon in India. During this period, intensity of rainfall greatly reduces. It results in the formation of cyclones over the Bay of Bengal. The winds marks a transition in the climate as change from hot rainy season to cold dry season is witnessed.
Nort- east trade Monsoon: These winds blow during the winter season. Since these winds blow from land to sea, it does not bring rainfall over the most of the country except in some parts of Tamil Nadu.
