How much time does it take for a nerve impulse to reach the brain and again to effector?

Information travels at different speeds within different types of neurons (nerve cells). The speed of the nerve impulse can be as high as one hundred meters (0.6 mile) per second or slower depending on the type of nerve fibre and the impulse.
