Expert Answer:
Digestion of carbohydrate of rice starts from mouth where alpha amylase present in saliva acts on complex carbohydrate of rice and break down it.Then, undigested carbohydrate digested in small intestine. After then it goes to large intestine where it is further digested by bacteria through anaerobic respiration.
Thus complex carbohydrate is broken down into glucose.Glucose then broken down into CO2, H2O and gives a lot of energy.
