High humidity can result in water condensation. Obviously, water and electric devices are not a good combination. If water condenses inside a computer, it can cause an electrical short in the machine that may blow a fuse or, even, damage circuits.
High humidity and condensation can also cause rust and corrosion in computers, leading to machine failures.
Condensation can also occur if the temperature of the data center drops too low. The air's ability to hold moisture decreases as the temperature falls. There may be condensation in a room with normal levels of humidity if, for example, an air conditioner malfunctions and lowers the temperature below the dew point. As previously mentioned, condensation can damage computer.
