CBSE Class 10 Answered
How heredity and variation related and differentiated ?
Asked by Nidhin S R | 01 Mar, 2011, 06:00: PM
Dear Student,
Heredity is the transmission of genetic characters from parents to the offspring.
Variations mean the differences amongst the individuals of the same species and the offspring of the same parents.
Hence, two siblings can inherit certain characters from their parents, as part of heredity, and yet show difference amongst each other due to variations.
We hope that clarifies your query.
