How does the amount of copper in copper sulphate solution not reduce during electroplating of copper onto an iron object, even though copper from the solution gets deposited on one electrode continuously?

Expert Answer
As copper from the solution gets deposited on the negative electrode, more copper from the positive electrode gets dissolved into the solution. Thus, the amount of copper in the solution remains same throughout the process.
