Expert Answer:

Nearly all diamonds are colourless or they have a faint yellow tint.

The diamonds sparkle when light falls on it. This light enters the diamond and refracts and totally internally reflects and comes out of the diamond.

The angle at which the light comes out will a particular light.

Hence, due to light the diamonds appear to sparkle with different colours, however the fact is that all diamonds are colourless.
