Explanation: The mobile ions are used for carrying charge through the solution. To transfer electricity through solution there is a need to move electrons through the phase boundary and then transport charge through the solution. Thus, an electrolytic solution conducts electricity because of movement of ions in the solution. The larger the concentration of ions, the better the solution conducts electricity.
