Expert Answer
Archaeopteryx shares some similar features with reptiles and certain others with birds.
Features similar to reptiles:
- Jaws with sharp teeth
- Three fingers with claws
- A long bony tai
- Hyperextensible second toes
- Feathers (which also suggest homeothermy)
- Various skeletal features
Features similar to birds:
- Feathers
- Wings
- Furcula ("wishbone")
- Reduced fingers
Thus it serves as a missing link between birds and reptiles
