how do trees transpire during spring season.when they shed their leaves?

During spring season, the leaves come back in abundance. Plants shed their leaves during autumn.
This is done to reduce the leaf area, thus preventing the transpiration of too much moisture. This helps the plants to conserve water. The transpiration occurs at a much reduced rate through the stomata present on the stem of plants.
