Expert Answer:

Directive Principles of State Policy are the guidelines which needs to be followed by the Government while governing the country. Fundamental Rights are basic human rights which provide conditions essential for the all-round development of the country. Directive Principles complement fundamental rights as the former is fundamental to governance of the country. Directive Principles link ideas with reality. People can enjoy their rights to the fullest only when there is social and political equality, justice and liberty. (Directive Principles aims at ensuring social and economic equality and justice).
