how do cryptograms reproduce?

Expert Answer:

Cryptogams may be Thallophytes, Bryophytes or Pteridophytes. The reproductive organs of these plants are very inconspicuous.

In Thallophytes, asexual reproduction generally takes place by spores. Sex organs are simple and single-celled. After fertilization, there is no embryo formation.
In Bryophtes and Pteridophytes, sex organs are multicellular and embryo is formed upon fertilisation.
