Asked by ishivam singh | 26 Feb, 2011, 01:07: PM
Dear student,
Annelids include animals which have a worm shaped body whereas arthropods include animals with variety of body shapes like spider, butterfly, centipede, prawn etc. Arthropoda forms the largest phylum of animal kingdom.
Annelids have closed circulatory system whereas arthropods have open circulatory system.
Exoskeleton absent in annelids, but usually present in arthropods.
Jointed appendages are present in arthropods but absent in annelids.
In annelids, excretion occurs through nephridia whereas in arthropods, excretion occurs through coelomoducts, malpighian tubules or green glands.
