how can we say that the path of a football, kicked by a player, can be shown as a quadratic equation

Expert Answer
When a football is kicked it can either go rolling on the ground surface or it will leave the surface for some time and then retrun back.
For the first case, it will follow a linear path, which is a linear equation and for the second case the path would be a parabola, which is a quadratic equation.
